Talking Cobb tuning is ready!!!!!

So a few days ago, after hearing about the Nissan power pup bullydog thing, I e-mailed cobb the following:

"Hello,

I've got a 2008 G35 sedan, and since beginning of 2008 I've been
asking you guys when you will have the maps and tunning unit out for
the 2007-2008 G35 Sedan. Unfortunately all I've gotten in response
have been delays and more delays. Personally I've heard good things
about Cobb, but recently and especially in the Infiniti community Cobb
has lost it's value. Mainly to be surpassed by the likes of Osiris and
now Bully Dog (http://www.bullydog.com/product/inde...uct_detail/185).

Personally I've now lost any faith in Cobb in actually coming out with
a tunning unit and maps for the 2007-2008 G35. Due to the delays many
fellow G35 owners have taken the plunge and bought either Osiris or
Bully Dog (the latter seems to be a good choice) as it's already been
reviewed by members:
and (https://g35driver.com/forums/tech-07...de-option.html).

Honestly I think its a shame that Cobb hasn't been able to come out
with anything for the G35 in the past 2 YEARS!!!! I just wanted to
inform you of what your competitors are doing and the sales they are
taking. Personally when I get around to buying an ECU upgrade I'll be
going for either Osiris or Bully Dog, as I'm sure Cobb wouldn't be
able to give us a real date as to when or if they will ever have
anything for the 07-08 G35 sedan, it's a real shame and we're very
easy picking when it comes to trying out new tuning companies with no
ill effects so far.

I don't mean for this e-mail to be harsh or anything, I'm just annoyed
at the fact that a reputable company like yourselves haven't been able
to keep up with the likes of Osiris and Bully Dog, it just doesn't
make sense, especially since G35 members have been given deadlines and
promises for the past 2 years to none actually falling through. It's
just a shame and could be very detrimental to your business if this is
how most other car makes are being treated."

and yesterday I get this reply:

"I apologize that we were not able to provide a solid release date for the 2007-2008 G35 AccessPORT, or if any indications of a release date were made and not met. Due to past events, we tend not to set concrete release dates, as they are sometimes unattainable due to unforeseen circumstances.

The 2007-2008 G35 vehicles are now supported by the AccessPORT part number AP-NIS-004 and the calibrations can be found at the link below:
http://www.accessecu.com/accessport/.../CG35-G37.html

If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I got and check their website and it's up and ready for sale!!!!! DOMODOMODOMOcheck it out: http://www.cobbtuning.com/products/?id=3687

So who's gonna be the first to order?

I just placed an order for one .........mainly because I'm traveling next week, and after that I'll be going to London for a week so I ordered it to be delivered to London as it's easier for me to pick up.

Also I just found out there are NO reliable dyno or remapping services here so I jumped on the boat. I just hope I made the right decision

......I should stop spending money!!! AHHHH !!!!!! & cost me an extra $208 to deliver it international that's just crazy

No, it is married to the ecu. There is a fairly significant procedure to un-marry if I recall correctly.

Interesting, and i would like to get one but wow 700 bucks? isn't a custom tune cheaper than that? I thought the Techno square tune was only 600 bucks.

hmm. with those gains and 700 bucks. im going to go get the bullydog dynoed soon. cobb says +3% so for me would be 8whp. whereas bullydog for half the price promised for me at least 12whp. we shall see.
good find. at least finally. for that price you can get a custom tune and be pushing +30whp like some others here are.

^ you see I know it seems expensive, but for me anyway it's the best option (as well as the bullydog thingy) because we do not have ANY respectable tuners here, and there's only 1 dyno place and it isn't in the least bit reliable and will be out of service soon, so for me it's simply the only option I have right now

Well if the Stage 2+ works because i have HFC Catback and intake but no headers this should give me around +30whp, but like suby said for that price wouldn't a custom tune be better?
