Fujita air intake

A friend of mine just parted with his 07' G35 sedan and he offered to sell me his black powdercoated Fujita intakes for $100 bucks installed. Do any of you think this would be a good deal, since I hear these intakes actually make our cars lose power I'm still kinda skeptical because I plan to possibly go Forced induction within the next year. Suggestions would be appreciated

yeah they'll make you lose power, a few points on a dyno graph, but i doubt you'd feel the loss. i'm sure the sound improvement will compensate for the loss. for 100 bucks, i'd hit it.

I think you lose a little torque downlow but make a little up top. I think when they first came out people dynoed like 5 - 8 whp but then someone got a reflash at technosquare and when they took out the fujita's and put the stocks back in it made an extra 10 whp lol.

I don't know. Paying $100 dollars for a nice sound seems a bit wasteful if you have a choice. I know a lot of guys in here are rolling around on Fujitas so you'll be in good company though. My feeling is an intake should also give HP gains, not break even and certainly not lose any. That post with the HP loss seen on Fujitas that Csquared talked about has kinda pushed me towards purchasing the POP charger or the Injen CAI myself, but as in terms of looks, the Fujitas do look mighty tasty.

My 2 pennies.

I decided to buy the Fujitas, so my buddy came through last night and installed the Fujitas. I took it for a spin right after, and to me the car felt more responsive. Last time I was on the dyno I made 261 whp. I may have to take another trip back to the dyno and see where I'm at now. By the way Csquared, I like your setup because you have heat shields. If Fujita designed their setup like this from the factory in the first place maybe this intake would flow much more efficiently. I've already been thinking about doing something similar to this on my new Fujita setup.

I'm glad you like them. Yeah, re-dynoing your car could def give you an objective way of quantifying your butt dyno.

Csqaured, burple looks good!

Please do a dyno before/ after. HAHAHA. Your results may rock the G35 world!
(am I being too dramatic here). OKay, maybe not that much, but if someone did have a dyno that showed HP gains, it would be nice.

Thanks I love the color too!
Mkai0 what mods do you have on it already? From what i understand the biggest gains will be if the intake is your only mod, last time i checked the Injen intakes on a stock it made like 9-10whp but on another car with HFCs and exhaust it made 2whp lol. I hope there is an actual increase in WHP when i first intalled with just intakes i felt there was an increase in power.

ND I'll sell you them when I go FI in the near future Right now as far as engine enhancements go my car has FI HFC, 2 1/4 custom X pipe exhaust, and recently added Fujita air intakes. I dyno'd 261 WHP (with TC on,forgot to disable, doh!) before Fujitas. I'll see if I can do better here in a few weeks.
