*Edit*
I just got off the phone with them. They are sending me 1.2.2c and I was asked to use this version. If I receive an error, I'm to call them back. He was not aware of any known update scheduled for release today or tomorrow.

I'll keep you posted once I get this installed tonight.
Really? both techs i talked to told me it would be ready this week and to call back thursday or friday. there better be another update because 1.2.2c doesnt work for me.

I know... I asked specificly for you. If it was available, I would have gotten it and sent it to you, or at least let you know it was available.
I have 2 versions to try tonight... hopefully one of them works, and if they don't, hopefully the car is at least drivable.

Thanks! the car should be drivable. it wont even install the tune if it is incompatable, it will just tell you an update is needed and to call the tech line or go to bullydog.com

What versions do you have?

1.2.1 & 1.2.2c

The first statement in the instructions is to never attempt an update outside of tech support hours.
I freaked when I looked at the clock and saw that they closed 10 minutes prior to me reading that statement.

I then decided to update the car today while at work, but work has a funny way of getting in the way of important things, so I never got around to it.

I'm bailing now so I can play for a bit tonight.
We'll see how it goes.

1.2.2c was a failure. It took almost 30 minutes to read the computer and then burped out "You need to download a quick update, contact tech support"

Luckily, they had already sent me 1.2.2d, which has been downloaded and installed to the pup. It's in the process of reading the car's computer now, so it's a 30 minute countdown to whether or not 1.2.2d works out.

It had better. I would not have jumped on this so quickly if I knew I'd be chasing an update that works.

Bat, did 1.2.2c work for you, or have you not tried it yet?
If 1.2.2d works, I'm happy to send it to anyone who needs it, since tech support is now closed for the evening.

I actually havent had a chance to try it yet. Csquared was awesome and came over to install some bulbs, grill and black betty wires. The battery was unplugged for awhile so I want to drive around for a couple days to "train" the ecu again. any chance you can email me 1.2.2d just so I have it?

Thanks

Well, does anyone want to guess my results?

I'll give you a hint...
Why the "F" does a company sell a product for $100's without having their $hit together first?!?
WTF?!?!

I guess I'm calling them in the morning

I'll attend a dyno day someday, but until one takes place near me, I'm stuck using my butt dyno for now.
I'm hoping to at least feel a slight difference in performance, but I'm also going to be closely monitoring my gas comsumption as well.
I'm well aware of the fact that butt dynos are BS and I did mean my comment to be tongue in cheek. Either way, I will post my findings and personal opinions.

It's okay though... My a$$ was recently calibrated to be dead-nut accurate by the department of weights and measures.
LOL yeah I just wanted to double check that a Butt dyno was on a guesstimate , the best Butt dyno I have is using Dynolicouse program on my I-phone which gives me some sort of reasonable figure

Okay, here's the latest scoop.
The issues all come down to the version of the ECU you have. What works for one may not work for another. They are still working on updates, since our G's seem to have many various options in terms of ECU part #'s.

I called and spoke to Vern, who is the same guy who helped me yesterday. We did a GoToAssist session (for those who don't know, it's a remote session so he can access my computer to pull data from the bullydog) and he had me attach the bullydog and scroll through the menus as well. I had to go to Settings, View Settings, and then press the right hand arrow. This brings me to a screen showing me my VIN, ECU part # as well as software versions installed on the pup.
My part # is JK69A.

Vern confirmed that they do not have an update for that yet. He ran a utility and pulled some files from the pup and told me it would be..... ..... one to two weeks before the update is available.
In the meantime, I have a very expensive paperweight.

I hope the wait is worth it.
