Hey Jack did you purchase the takeda's yet?

You know what, seeing the G37 thread and seeing HPAuto as the OP straight away put me off. Sorry but I am not going to deal with that company again. The claimed HP gains is just ludicrous and whoever even thinks he can gain anything from these needs to get their head checked.

I've got a set coming (but it will be about a week before it starts shipping). I'll do a formal write-up and take pictures once I get them. While I don't expect the HUGE gains, I do prefer them over K&N. I use to have a Jeep Grand Cherokee (V8) and noticed a difference in quality in filter and the intake itself. I've also seen a similar difference between a buddies Accord when he got an AFE filter to replace his AEM filter. I like the idea of a dry filter verses an oiled filter (I hate applying the oil, it gets everywhere and it's hard to apply evenly). I'm really intrigued over the heat shield that keeps the radiator hot air from getting to the passenger intake.

I'm getting mine straight from AFE. They are hooking me up with a good deal since I've been a customer for like 7-8 years (in different vehicles of course).

www.takedausa.com if you follow the links from the "application guide" and find our model it has a shopping cart that brings you to shoptron or something. Although it says Pre-Order right now. (Still waiting on mine).

Can't wait to hear your review Jack090. I'm also on the fence about what intake, if any, I should purchase.

I also have good news about these intakes.

My team member is going to the test fitter for the new heat shields for this intake. So, down the line, they will seel this intake with heat shields as soon as they give my friends car back.
