Bully Dog Tuner Update Error Message?

Hi guys,

I bought the Bully Dog Nissan Power Pup tuner, which with the new update works on 05-09 Infiniti G35's.

Downloaded the latest software, brought the tuner out to the car, tried to flash the ECU. I keep getting a "latest software downloaded is needed" error message. I've confirmed on the website that I have the latest version.

Anybody else had this same problem?

They have a SW version available that's not yet on their web. Mine worked for uploading a tune, but not for changing the timing - they sent me an update by e-mail, haven't tried it yet. Per your other post, I only did the tune.

Actually, I just went ahead and tried, and I was able to adjust the idle/tune without a problem. It's only doing the ECU flash package that doesn't work.

Couldn't get hold of them.

But I just now found a thread in which some other members comfirmed that there is a new version not yet on the website which I have asked to have emailed to me (and also sent another message to Bully Dog).

Weird. I got mine on Wednesday, updated it from their website, and everything worked smoothly on my 08 G35

I call tech support and they send me version 1.2.2c. I tried all versions and this one works. Try this: connect the bully dog to your car and on the menu press the right arrow to show model #. Mine was j60d

Right it's all based off your ECU model. (there are several ECU models that are floating around out there, which are pretty much all the same). It's the same maps that they use, but they have to match the model number. In my first impressions thread I mentioned you had to have 1.2.2b or higher (I hear Kendroz has a "c" model of the firmware). His is the same as mine which is a "b", but has his model ecu in that version. (no benefits of upgrading to a c verses a b as its the same map).
