Once you install an intake there is no reason to keep the silencers there. they just sit there hanging so i might as well take off that dead weight.

I just installed my Injens this weekend and I love them so far. I was kind of on the fence about getting an intake or an exhaust. Performance wise I doubt I am going to notice the minimal HP gains but was more interested in hearing my car growl. I decided to go with an intake because it was cheaper and I got a great deal (thanks localbrew). Installation was a breeze (thanks again to localbrew for pre-assembling the filter and heatshields) and took me around 45minutes.
Immediately after the install I decided to take it for a test spin. Driving around locally the car sounded the same (all easy/moderate acceleration under 4k rpms). However, when I jumped onto the freeway I let her rip and I was all smiles. The sound from the intakes at WOT is incredible. After about 200miles I am loving the intake and it has satisfied my needs for having a beastly sounding car at WOT. Now to start researching exhausts. Any suggestions on an exhaust that goes well with these intakes?

My exhaust/intake combo is pure sex.
I personally like the sound of the FI over the Invidia
