Yes, all you need is the core, you can use the existing hose if they're flexible, but if they are molded in special way like radiator hose's then you'll need to find a way to make them fit into the new core.
I might go with a bigger core, or buy B&M cooler with fan, last night i was racing in my car, after 3-5 runs the transmission shifts got different because of the oil got hot.

I've measured our OEM transmission oil cooler and it was 10"x4.5"x1, i've ordered B&M transmission oil cooler which is 8"x11"x1.5" which is double the size, i'm sure there well be cooling results, but i don't know how much.
I was reading about transmission oil coolers and that cars without them can get their oil temp up to 230-250f when WOT, so i think it's a must for everyone tracking or racing with 5AT.
Here's the B&M i've ordered:

It'll arrive this week, and i'll install it once i get it, the problem is i don't know which hose is the inlet or the outlet, but i'll find a way to fit it on the stock mounts of the old oem cooler, i guess i'll cut and trim the stock hose's.
