My local dealership has reccomended a Fuel Injector Service ($150). They said its suppost to be performed every 15K miles. Im at 26K. Has anyone had this done? Have you noticed any difference in vehicle performance or fuel economy?

 

i never heard of a fuel injection service at 15,000mi. i took my car to a dealer for servicing and there was no mention of f i service

 

thats the same "Service" they preform at those oil change places for 60 bucks. i think it a pretty big hoax. just put a bottle of Lucas fuel injector cleaner in your next tank of gas

 

The dealer just wants to make a sale. No such thing as a fuel service at 15K.

 

Actually I got propositioned the same thing at my 15K service about two months ago. I decided to pass on it as well because I didn't know what the benefit was and I haven't heard of anyone doing it.
