2008 G35 won't start!

I went to start my 2008 G35 sedan this morning. The instrument lights lit up for about a second and then everything blacked out. I thought it was my intelligent key and its battery. I changed it and still no power. No power to anything (headlights, interior lights, door locks, etc...) I then called for roadside assistance and had it towed to the dealer (Kearny Mesa Infiniti).

A couple of hours later the dealer told me that after they jumped the battery the car started right up and that the car was left in the accessory mode. That's the only thing they could think of that would drain the battery that quickly. I'm not an idiot and sure as heck didn't push that button twice when I turned my car off last night. The tow truck driver started my car when he jumped the battery before he took it to the dealer, perhaps he left it in the accessory mode. Perhaps, there's a hidden problem or glitch in the push button ignition.

The dealer didn't charge me anything to charge the battery and check the charging system. They even checked my tires and brakes, washed and vacuumed my car. That was nice of them.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully, it is just the battery. Which service adviser did you deal with? I know Kearny has a pretty bad rep, but David Iverson seems to be pretty cool. He's pretty knowledgeable with the mods.

Yea, I hope it was just the battery. It was a good thing that it happened in front of my house and not on a trip or on a freaking date. I dealt with
Tom Wanless. He was friendly, explained what they did to the car, and what the battery test results were (560 cold cranking amps). Max CCA is 590 for my batttery. Anything under 300 CCA and the battery is failed by Infiniti according to Todd.

I've dealt with David before. He's cool too. So far, everyone at the service and parts dept. there have been polite, knowledgeable, and competent. I can't say the same for the sales dept. though. That's a whole other post though.

Not Infiniti related this happens to my parents Audi Q7 a few times the car just died out of no ware. But once jumped it works fine. until maybe a few months later it will do the same thing were it would be dead. When we took it to the dealer and it failed the battery test. So I dont know if its really a bad battery or something with one of the cars computers or something being left on because we made sure nothing was on.

Did they run a battery test aside from charging it?

I hope the battery dies when it's convenient for me (parked in front of my apt. or at the dealership). In regards to battery testing, the dealer tested it and they said it was ok (530 CCA out of 560) along with the charging system.

I had this happen to me once. Came outside. Tried to start the car. Got power at first. But the car wouldnt start, than everything went out. Im sure I didnt leave anything on. I think its a problem with the car. Boost the battery and it started right up. Its funny because I read a thread about this problem before it happened to me and I never thought it would happen to me...but it did
