Adrian, are you going with an oil cooler? If so, how is it going to be installed?

GTM finally posted pics of the HR specific kit with the new brackets, intake pipes and mounting locations. These are installed on a Nismo 2008 HR 350Z

Hopefully it won't be long before our kits are completed.

I'm planning on going with both the trans cooler and oil cooler.

I was actually just up at GTM earlier today talking to Sam about this. They base lined the car and have got everything pulled apart and the piping pretty much done and ready to install. I believe they did have to change the piping slightly to get everything to work, and they're having trouble figuring out how to/where to installed all 3 of the oil coolers (one for the Rotrex, one for the Tranny, and one for the Engine Oil). The main oil cooler for the Rotrex gets mounted top center above the intercooler and right behind the front grille, and on the G37 Coupe that they just finished they installed the other 2 coolers in the lower front bumper behind the outer ducts, one on each side. However, they are finding that the coupe's front bumper is much wider, so it has quite a bit more space behind it. Sam says they will defintiely get them to fit behind the sedan bumper, but will probably have to construct different brackets for the sedan fitment.

I think I'm going to go with the black thermal coating on the I/C, but still need to decide if I want the piping to be black or not. Any thoughts / opinions?

Sam hopes to have the car done next week, or the week after at the latest.

Will post some pics of the progress this weekend.

that's great!

I too wanna see how they mount all three coolers. I believe they're using a series 6, 19 row core for the trans and engine, while the SC will have a slightly smaller cooler. The engine oil cooler can be mounted on the drivers side next to the P/S cooler while the trans oil cooler can be mounted right above it. Or you may be able to fit one of the coolers on the far passenger side just like the coupe since there's no piping or anything at all in there.
Personally I'm more worried about the stock radiator with all these coolers covering up every space available.
i guess i'll have to wait and see what GTM plans to do.

EDIT: here's another pic of the Nismo 350Z. I see GTM switched to a single air filter. Finally!! There was absolutely no need for the twin filters and pipes on the VHR kit. Just added weight, complication and raised the price. You can also see one of the coolers mounted on the far right where there's nothing to block or get in the way. Hopefully they won't have any issues using the same mounting location on the G sedan.

Funny... rear badge says G35S, but the engine cover shows VVEL...

Maybe it's a G35S with G37 engine cover? or vise versa? I kinda doubt the latter.

I thought it was a G35S with a G37 cover, but on the drivers side intake pipe you can see the fuse box next to it which was only there on the G37.
