Transmission Flush???

I did a search on this and I only found this was being talked about at the 30,000 mile service. So anyway I went to the dealer to get my regular oil change and after they were done they told me I needed a transmission flush. Now i only have 21,500 miles on my 08 sedan and I think it's way too early for that. I have a 6mt btw. What do you guys think?

Sounds early to me unless there is some indication of an issue (fluid color, etc.)

If you read the service schedule carefully you will see that there are some items that appear to be required, others that are most likely optional (such as cabin filters)

i'm thinking it's a 60k servicing job, but should be done earlier, but I think 21.5k is too early, but I may be wrong?

I'm trying to figure this out too. I have the Elite Maint Plan, and in the front of my booklet it says the plan covers oil, coolant, rear diff and transmission fluid changes. But then when you go through the service checklist, there is no callouts for transmission fluid changes all the way past 100K. I just passed 30K and got the dealer to cover all fluids and filters including rear diff, but they wont cover transmission fluid. I can't get a firm answer on when it 'should' be done.

I get the feeling that if I were paying out of pocket for it they would say its required every 30K, but some of them were saying 100K!? to get me off their case. I just want to find out when Infiniti says to do it, then I can fight to have it covered.

I only kept the Elite maint service because I thought it was worth it when I read that it covered all the items.
