R2C on 07x

I've done some searching around here and it seems like R2C is becoming more popular. I read the review someone did on MyG37 and it looks very promising. I am very interested in ordering the R2C Dual Cai for my 07 g35x but i would like to get some feedback from people that own this particular intake. I came across a dyno that shows the R2C blowing away the Stillen intake (humidity was a question in these dynos, too). Does anyone have a Dyno of R2C vs the Injen long tubes becuase i cant find one anywhere?
Also, if anyone has purchased one of these, where did you buy it? I've been looking around for some good pricing on here and i came across Import Parts Pro but I'm up in Mass and the shipping might be pricey.
I really like the Injens as well but dont particularly want to risk hydrolock or failed MAF's from any intakes with K&N.
Thanks a lot for any input, I'd greatly appreciate any help.

r2c's are really good and the craftsmanship and service is one of the best around, and their heat shields too seal with the hood TIGHTLY and are perhaps the best out there and would prove better than most intake out there for our cars in humid hot conditions, thanks to them.

One thing i would like to iterate is that it has been proven that no intake will provide with substantial gains on our cars as you might remember the whole FAIL with the injen long intakes and stillen claiming ~15whp and perosnal dynos proved otherwise(with big margins)

On the other hand r2c claims ~7whp and personal dynos have confirmed and been there about, also the intakes are dry element and you just have to blow the air out with an air compressor(same used for tires).

The sound is intoxicating above 4-5k and the build to high end feels/sounds stronger and meaner.

I bought mine from a vendor from myg37.com named Andy@hpauto, i have had great experience with him while some have complained about his service, so go at your own risk, but the price he offered with GB back then was the BEST around.

I would suggest reading on the review from RedG37NYC(or something like that) on myg37, he has a great detailed review.

Hope it helps...

kool thanks for your input. I have read the review by Red on G37.com and it is what really geared me towards the R2C in the first place. I figured if i can get enough positive input from members on this forum that actually have the intake to persuade me i wouldnt feel so guilty about dropping 500 beans on this. This cai will be my first mod to this car since buying it 6 weeks ago. So far so good i love how it drives and it only has 15k miles. If anyone else could chime in i'd like to hear the pros/cons of this intake in addition to the slight gain in hp and growl this thing produces.

I love my R2C intake. The quality of the intake is top notch and it sounds amazing when you really open up the throttle. I don't feel a crazy amount of power but it is only just an intake. I have also got to give Kyle a recommendation he is really good to buy from and I am sure he will set you up with a good price. He is a member here as well, send him a PM.

what about Nismo Intakes? I've heard decent things about them. Better than R2C?

Normally I'm not a big fan of aftermarket intakes for the G, but I have the R2C for the 1st gen. and love it!! Craftsmanship is excellent and the filter is one of the best on the market.

I bought mine from Marinelli Motorsports, a vendor on here, and got an awesome deal. They are my favorite place to buy parts. Great communication, great prices, what else can I say?

Kyle's name on the forum is "Kyle(Houston)" for those of you who want to look him up for some goods.

Wes - Last thing I should be doing is getting the strut bar, I just had my computer crash on me and well basically put the whole thing together from scratch with plenty of new parts . However I do want to get one more mod in before the winter. I am good to pull the trigger with you if Scott is ready for it. The 6pt brace is on my list as well.. too much good feedback to leave it alone!!!

Oh yeah R2C intakes kick ***!

When I installed mine a couple months ago I had no problem what-so-ever with fitment. Everything was perfect for the install with the exeption of breaking a screw where the sensor would be placed. However it was as easy easy fix.
