Buying Used FI Exhaust Questions
I have a 2007 G35 sedan (Base model), I came across a guy who is selling his FI exhaust from his G35S. I already contacted FI to insure that this exhaust would work with my car, but i figured i could get a quicker response on here
also on the fast intentions website there is a pic that shows all of the exhaust components with some bolts, the guy I am thinking about buying it from said that he is selling everything nessicary to install and that the bolts that are used for my oem exhaust could be used for the FI
sorry for the noob questions, thanks for any feedback

the only bolts that are reused are the bolts from the Cats to the FI exhaust. everything else comes with the kit. it will fit with no problems on your car. make sure he is giving you the hardware FI provided in the kit (not sure why he wouldnt)there are also some gaskets as well. how many miles are on the system?
Like Austin said you only reuse the cat OEM bolts and those too because they are welded to the cats.
So you should be getting all of the following to have a complete install (i will list the obvious as well to avoid any confusion so bare with me):
2 mufflers
1 X-pipe
4 gaskets(FI uses steel ones i believe that can be reused)
6 nuts & 6 bolts(3 used to secure the mufflers piping to the x-pipe on each side)
2 extra bolts (optional, may use oem cat bolts)
Hope im not mmissing anything, if so please add in.

thanks for the input guys, he said he put about 10,000 miles on it, selling it for $600, i know these retail for 1200+, so i figured this to be a pretty decent deal, but any more feedback/suggestions are apreciated bc this would be my first time every getting an aftermarket exhaust
If he has truly only driven around 10,000 miles and the system has no leaks/punctures/ or bends then this is beyond just a decent deal, its great but hopefully not too good to be true.
Just make sure that there are no visible cracks, bends or punctures in the piping and or mufflers and the exhaust hangers are in contact, other than that only way to check for leaks would be after installing and idling the car while spraying some soap water on the piping and looking for any bubbles.
As is when you install the exhaust you will be able to tell if there are any issues as when you raise the rpm you will get a louder than usual sound and or gurgle. Even if there are any issues it should not cost you over $20-40 to get any leaks or such welded.
Overall its a great exhaust which is not too loud at low rpms with NO drone and has a husky high end sound.
Enjoy!
