Results after a few days;
Much smoother power band and acceleration
Could feel a difference above 5k rpms
Easy install
Hopefully it will compliment mods at a later date (installing K&N filters with Stillen Exhaust)
Have the option to go back to stock in case a trip to the dealer is warranted
Its from a proven company

Now I just reset my ECU today (disconnected battery etc) and I THINK I got a little better throttle response by doing so. Again, this could be ME!! Maybe Hypertech can jump in on this one.

Hypertech support is on the forums now and answering questions. I asked them about the WOT restriction in the other thread, lets see what they say so we can put this matter of WOT to rest for good, and if the G has the restriction and this things removes it along with fixing my AF ratios then Bat keep that tuner ready for me!

If I am understanding what piggyback is, then i would say no. It removes all your stock setting and replaces it with a high performance tune they developed from a dyno.

I will let you know but fyi its the thread right underneath this one in the tech engine section.

And no hypertech is not a piggyback ems, it just flashes the ecu with new parameters through the OBD port i believe and backups the factory tune onto the programmer and then copies the new tune onto the cars original ecu and then you can remove it and put away when done.

people, i have been telling you how great Hypertech is for months now...

and yes, mine is still for sale...

As for the throttle restriction...the feature is meant for VVEL engines (09+ sedans). Im not 100% positive what it does on the non VVEL

It does nothing. All they can do is just make sure that your AFR is ok!

Dude you have the whole forum waiting for my answer
Basically you are telling me my next post could be my most important one. Keep yourself enertained for a day or so I want to answer this question as correct and detailed as possible. I will write up my answer then talk to my R&D manager and make sure he agrees.

Thanks for the homework.

The simple answer is yes but Gdriver.com deserves and craves detail.
