Quick response needed: 2007 G35x--what coolant to buy?

Hey guys, I'm low on coolant and power steering fluid. I talked to Infiniti and they said I can use any power steering fluid, but I have to get their coolant from them, or something that's Nissan Certified. Not sure what that means. I dropped by the local Nissan (which is closer than Infiniti) and was gonna buy coolant, but the guy said you can use any kind at Pep Boys for Infiniti as long as it's Green. Is this true? All I need is a slight top-off. They gave me Nissan power steering fluid for free, which was nice...so now all I need is coolant. Thanks!

Hey, what do you mean by 50/50?

I have green color coolant in my car now. I went to Pep boys and they said it's discontinued...replaced by the "any make, any model" coolant, which is yellow. Can I use that? It won't void my warranty will it?

By 50/50 I mean that it has to be half water and half coolant. I think peak or prestone is green but I don't think it really makes a difference.

I don't know if it's changed recently, but most Japanese coolants do not contain silicates but rather phosphates that act as inhibitors. There are no US-made coolants that are made according to Japanese auto manufacturer specifications other than the OEM coolants. From what i understand, the silicates when broken down from use leaves borate which attacks aluminum --- which is what our block is made of, among other things.

This is oversimplifying, but feel free to look it up on Google. Here's one article to start you with.

Personally, i just use Prestone 50/50, haven't had trouble with it.
