ECU reset?

hi Folks,

I am trying to reset the ECU onm a 08 g35 journey using the timed gas pedal method (on, 3sec wait, 5 hard presses in 5 sec ,7sec wait, depress and hold, 10 sec wait) to no avail.
The SES light does not want to blink

Is this the right method, or I did forgot anything?
Do I need to wait for the airbag led to turn off when counting for 3 sec, or the three sec are considered from the very ON moment? I think I tried both ways...

Using the same method I can do it on a 06 G35.... relatively easy

Thanks in advance for hints

Just disconnect the battery for 20mins or so. Does the same thing.

easier way here....

takes less than 5 min total time and no foot dancing involved.

disconnect negative battery cable AND press the brake pedal 5-10 times, until it gets stuck up in place. reconnect battery enjoy.

It's reset's the ECU I think, never heard of that way. If I do this with my upRev tune would it go away? Just wondering.

try the last part of your ish for 20 seconds...

remember to use a timer or analog watch, it helps alot when timing in on point...

you almost got it.. it took me 2 or 3 times to get it right...

the ecu reset does not erase your tune.

It resets the learning habits of your driving or whatever Infiniti calls it.

I think I found it finally:
You have to stick your iKey in the key reader on the left of your steering wheel

^ No you def. don't have to use the key fob. It reset without it. Like the above said, just do the negative terminal method. The problem is you'll lose all your radio presets and stored data.

DrGeeMD, Are you sure the pedal method works without the key fob inserted in the reader?
For me the pedal method finally worked only if the keyfob was in.

Dunnow if it was a pure coincidence or not. I'll let you know tomorrow if I feel any improvement

^ I think it was pure coincidence as I have done it a couple dozen times without it. But when I first learned how to do it like two years ago, it took me a while to figure out the timing. Once I got it, the pedal reset was pretty easy from then on.

I can do it very easy on the '06 with the pedal method almost from the 1st try, but on the 08 seems only having the key in does it. I can try some more tomorrow and report back
