272whp on a low reading dynojet and 110F ambient temps (baseline was around 240whp). Highest G35 HR i've seen is around 280whp. I can't remember who it was.

Depending on what exhaust you want, But I was in this boat and wound up building my own.. My thread is on here Knock off Tanabes.. But most of what I have seen as far as WHP from exhaust is 6-10, Just more for the VQ sound than anything else, Unless like the others have stated you get a full tune for it.

Idk about what anyone else has been telling you, but with hfc's and then getting it tuned will be a whole new feeling car. Just putting my exhaust on I could feel the night and day difference. Then adding the HFC's which argueably could be the best mod other then the plenum spacer. Now your adding a tune. Depending on your tuner your looking at a 20-30 horsepower difference. You will definately notice that.

Theres a recent thread going around about combos and dynos. I believe the motordyne and ART pipes combo will get you some beast numbers add and intake and plenum spacer and your money. If i could have done it again this is the combo i would have gone with.

You realize you're in second gen land right, and there's no plenum spacers for the HR?

And I seriously doubt a "night and day" difference with just an exhaust.

^^^ Either way your going to notice a gain out of an exhaust, hfc's, and a tune.

why not get headers as well. If you want to feel a gain get all the bolt on.

Like above I dont know about a night and day difference, But tonight I was merging onto the HW in 1st( Had to stop cause of the car in front of me), I nailed it and saw the traction light blinking away.. Never saw that when it was dry out,, BTW I drive with the TCS OFF all the time

That is exactly why I want to get an exhaust system! Too funny. At Idle the G35 6MT is so quiet, it is hard to hear what is going on when I let the clutch out. And I can't stand having to look at tach when I should be looking at the road ahead. I did clutch pedal mods which help a lot but I definitely find it helpful to drive by ear. Especially since clutch pedal feel is really not good in G35.

Is FI still in business? Are they related to Invidia? Sorry about such questions but most of the threads I have read in forum about exhaust are 1-2 yrs old. I suppose I could call them and see. On FI web site their prices have gone up, ~1500 for polished SS cat back. Is there a less expensive source? Thanks.

Invidia and FI are two completely different companies. They have no relation to each other.

Many of the vendors on the forum would be able to set you up with an Invidia exhaust however most buy from Amplified are they are an authorized vendor of Invidia.

When it comes to FI I would give Tony a call he is the owner of the company. He is very nice and will take care of members of the forum.

Good luck on your search!

Greekboy115,
OK thanks for clarifying. I checked FI website again last night. It looks like I can order what I want. I will call first to understand what my options and prices are first.
