rpms very high after replacing A/C unit
rpms very high after replacing A/C unit
The dealer just replace my AC unit cause it broke.
When I have the A/C off and stop, my rpms are ok but when the A/C is on and stop, they are almost 1000 rpms.
Any ideas??

the rpms are suppose to rise when the AC is on to keep the car from stalling due to the added load at idle, however 1k is a BIT on the higher side(if i remember right then i think mine was around 900 in the summer with AC on but havent used it in a while) but nothing to worry about considering 650-750 is the non AC idle. It is programmed from factory so the dealer might have tweaked it a bit.
