CPO Powertrain Warranty
CPO Powertrain Warranty
Hi all, hope someone can answer a question for me. I have a 2007 G35x with the CPO warranty good for 2 years starting June 9/09.
The check engine light came on and an oxygen sensor was the problem. The dealership tried to replace but the sensor was seized in the manifold. They had to remove the manifold, retap sensor hole, replace gaskets and sensor. Should this be covered under the powertrain warranty?
Infiniti's website says the air/fuel ratio feedback is covered and the engine is covered. They dinged me for over $1000 for the work.
Any replies would be appreciated. The basic warranty ran out in November.
Thanks.

Yes, turns out the CPO warranty covers the power train for 2 years from the time the car is purchased or 80000 km, whatever comes first. So it's covered and I'm being refunded
for the amount paid for the repair.

Hmmm, I would have thought that it would be covered under the emissions warranty (which extends to 8yr/80k miles) before it would be covered by the cpo warranty.
Wait, I just noticed you're in Canada; could be different then.

I had an O2 sensor replaced under (extended) warranty on my old Maxima. I would assume the same for Infiniti.
