I took the mufflers off and drove around town over the past weekend and I absolutely loved it. I didn't notice much drone (unless louder noise is drone), and 3k to 4k sounds so sick. So now I'm just searching for some awesome exhaust tips.

I think the muffler delete is one of the best sounding exhaust mods there are, if you run stock manifolds cats and y pipe it sounds amazing but if you run test pipes or a non resonated y pipe it sounds really really bad, I tried all kinds of combinations of stock exhaust before I just broke down and went true dual with long tubes but my favorite sound so far is stock exhaust setup with muffler delete I didn't think it was to droney or loud to be honest but it's not the best performance option of course since the stock exhaust is pretty restrictive but the muffler delete is a cheap alternative if you just want the aggressive sound

Maybe someone handy with a welder could make a couple of tubes with a passable copy of our existing tip on the end and offer it for $99 shipped to those of us that want to be able to completely revert to stock...

Hey mods,

Wouldn't this thread be better off in the "Engine, Exhaust, Drivetrain, FI" section as opposed to being here in the "Brakes, Suspension, Wheels, and Tires" section?

Ya thats me in the front.

They cut the mufflers and welded a straight pipe where they used to be. Then welded the tips back into place!
