Thumbs down 2007 G35 Sedan leaking valve covers..

Hey guys first time poster here, been lurking the forums for a while but never posted till now.

So to start I have a 2007 Infiniti G35S Sedan with 164k Km so 101k Miles. Went to the dealership today to get my oil change and spark plugs changed. Long story short get a call within an hour and they tell me that i have oil in both sides in 2 of the cylinders. I knew the previous gen G's were known for the leaking valve covers but did not anticipate this.

Overall, they told me its going to cost $1500 to fix(both valve covers 2 coil packs)...but i have extended warranty still from when i purchased my car 2 years ago so im still covered.

So maybe I just got unlucky, but maybe you guys should check up on your spark plugs and make sure no oil is in there. Now gotta wait till Monday too call the warranty company..

Not that surprised, 100k and leaking valve covers sounds pretty normal to me. A little oil on the plugs from time to time isn't that rare either. Just sounds like the o-rings on the plug tubes are short. Unfortunately, Nissan doesn't sell the seals separate, they are "pressed" into the covers and it comes as one assembly. A lot of Nissan's suffer from this, especially the older Altimas. When i worked for Nissan I would get this call 2 times a day.

Yea that's exactly what the dealer said too, but a quick question would it be okay to drive in this condition for a while? They said its gonna take a a minimum of 3 weeks to get the valve covers from Japan.
