I have a small project on building a custom exhaust for my g35x. Don't have the $1000+ to spend on a new exhaust system so I'm planning on swapping and welding on some parts and need some input. Currently on straight pipes. Thinking of cutting out the resonator and welding a Flowmaster X-pipe (part # 11386) and welding on some porche cayenne tips on or dual tips. And does anyone have experience with the megan test pipes (part#MR-SSDP-N7Z)
Looking for input on the set up.

Awesome man sounds like a plan. I don't have the megan test pipes but i have a buddy with them on a top speed exhaust and he absolutely loves it. Sounds great too. The flowmaster x pipe should cut out or at least minimize droning. A lot of people will probably tell you to not waste ur time and save up and spend $1500 on an exhaust which i think is stupid. Def keep us updated on ur progress.Originally Posted by beto4632

I'm interested in hearing how this goes as well. Please post sound clips at different stages, if possible?

I built my exhaust using a megan oe rs muffler and custom mid pipe minus resonater. Sounds great! Alittle louder than stock but deeper tone. Total cost $450. Just have the shop copy the stock mid pipe bends.
Found this on myg37.com sounds awesome will post progress in the next couple weeks!

Does the Topspeed exhaust fit the awd? The price point on it very good.
