I have long tube headers with the y pipe. The MEGAN long tube headers did not come with a brace or bracket, allowing considerable vibration to occur near the connection. It wore out the flex pipe on the y pipe. I'll post pictures later.

Not surprised
New one arrives Friday. I also have to fabricate a new brace to calm down the vibration.

So you bought another Megan product after this?
I believe it was a failure due to the vibrating headers, not the y-pipe. It broke through the middle of a section in the flex pipe.

I don't understand looking for the amount of WHP headers allows (2 to 3) and then hooking them up to a chickensh!t y-pipe rather than going with a full dual system? Kinda like spending the $$ for a great exhaust then run OE cats...why bother?

I don't know the specs on this Y but going to a dual system doesn't mean more power. As you know, Motordyne sells single systems that make plenty of power and has commented on this subject at lengthOriginally Posted by gary c

I am running full long tube headers into a 2.5 to 3.0 y-pipe ending in a full exhaust. No cats. The factory y-pipe is a major bottleneck in my situation. BTW, long tube headers net more than 2-3 whp.
The PPE's are supposed to make like 17 on a 370z and mine are basically a copy.
