Nitrous on their g35x sedan, Has anyone done it? and bolt-ons

My car: 2007 g35x premium. 76k miles. bone stock

Hey G people, I am brand new to the forum and have been digging around about NA bolt-ons like Plenum spacer, z tube, high flow cats, and possibly nitrous in the new g35x. Have been reading a little bit here and at the 350z forums and people dont seem to be on the same page. Plenum spacers, good or bad idea on the vq35hr?

So I was wondering, Has anyone added nitrous to their sedans and how has the safety and reliability been thus far? This is going to be a daily drive I want to have fun on a few weekends in the summer or on the high way. Nothing crazy and I want it to be clean, safe and reliable. Just wanted to get some info from experienced guys. If anyone has a thread on this already or info on this subject a link would be appreciated.

No to the plenum spacer. The VQ37HR spacer mod helps because it uses the VQ35HR spacer, which had some slight differences in flow. For us it does nothing. I did a ton of forum hunting to find this out, and someone emailed Motordyne and eventually got that figured out.

As for the nitrous, I'm not sure myself. I'll let someone else answer that.

If any indication from other users a catback, test pipes, intake and tune can net you about 5-10% increase in RWHP. Some users have claimed 300WHP but I'm not totally sure if that's possible. It definitely makes a difference though, I'm gonna pick up an intake and some test pipes this summer myself.

Looking forward to hearing how that turns out. Let me know when you get it installed.

Sounds like expensive hp to me. A quality exhaust seems to be 1,500+ I know its not a pure hp upgrade though.

Which test pipes and intakes are you looking into getting?

It is expensive but the only other way to get HP out of these cars besides these bolt-ons is FI. I got the Top Speed catback (without Y pipe) for $500+shipping. A Y pipe on top of that is around 200-250.

Also I was looking at the Injen SRI intake but I've heard some conflicting information on whether or not an intake really helps - I'll have to do more research on that one.

But for sure test pipes are very beneficial. There's a lot of them, but the Megan Racing Resonated TP ($150) seems pretty good seeing as all test pipes are basically just straight pipes. The way I see it for something that simple there's no point in going expensive.

Nitrous is cool, but the expense and hassle of refills adds up quickly. There are risks with nitrous if the kit isn't set up properly as well. I tend to avoid recommending it on a daily driver type of car.

Well, how often are you going to be using Nitrous? My friend takes his car to the track pretty often and haven't spent enough money on refilling it up as much as i spent on my SC. not even a 1/3 of it.

Look at it this way ... you probably use your SC more often than your buddy used his nitrous.

Nothing better than power on demand in my opinion.

I had nitrous on my second G35. Probably used it 5 times and once by accident. Cost me about 4k for full safe setup. So works out to about $600 a time.

Had supercharger on my first G35, cost me about 8k for everything and support mods. I used it every day for 2 years. So worked out to about $2 each time.

4k? What system did you run?
Also were you going with a wet or dry system
