I drive a 2008 G35x. My car is bone stock and I want to start adding some power. As my name states I am a car noob haha. I have never worked on a car before and have minimal car knowledge in general so I’m hoping someone out there will spare some possibly basic info.

I’m looking to start by installing high flow cats and headers. I’ve done some research but to be honest I’m still not 100% sure what either of those are/ what they do, but I know upgrading them especially with a tune adds power haha. Basically I’m looking for some guidance of what to buy. What brand and more specifically what product? Should I replace something else entirely first instead?

I’ve been looking at the Fast Intentions High Flow Resonated Cats. Would this be a good option?

Probably wishful thinking that anyone would know, but about what price range would I be looking at for installation at a shop?

No point in adding headers to the HR, the factory headers are plenty for now.

True dual cold intake, high flow cats, muffler delete if you want it louder otherwise just leave the rest of the exhaust stock, Uprev tune. In that order.
