Airbag Warning
Airbag Warning
So I just took apart my radio in my G35x to hook up Sat. Radio and ever since I turned it back on, I can't get rid of the ! an Airbag flashing warning. I disconnected the battery for 15 mins and still no luck? Do I need them to reset it via the computer at the dealer?
I believe you can do it like this. I have an 04 coupe and it worked for me. Turn key on but dont start car, before light begins to flash, turn key back off. Repeat for a total of 10x and light should disapper.

Recheck all the tire pressure and fill as necessary. Then drive for about a mile or 2 then it should disapper

SELF DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (WITHOUT CONSULT-III)
Without CONSULT-III
To start the self-diagnostic results mode, ground terminal of the tire pressure warning check connector. The malfunction location is indicated by the warning lamp flashing.
Erase Self Diagnosis

• In order to make it easier to find the cause of hard-to-duplicate malfunctions, malfunction information is stored into the control unit as necessary during use by the user. This memory is not erased no matter how many times the ignition switch is turned “ON” and“OFF”.
• However, this information is erased by turning ignition switch “OFF” after performing self-diagnostic or by erasing the memory using the CONSULT-III.

What am I grounding? The switch in the picture or the connector at the terminal? I am confused about this...
I think the connector is above the av unit, anyone? What are those connectors that are connected above the a/v radio to the white plastic piece?

Simple fix.....Follow the turning the key procedure as described in the thread. One problem though...no key. Just use the push button start instead. Keep your foot off the brake which pressing the button will move the ignition to "on" without starting the car. Push again and it cycles off.
This works because I had the same problem back in November. Even the dealer didn't know how to do it.

1.) turn ignition switch from OFF to ON.
2.) air bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, then turn ignition switch OFF within 1 second after the lamp turns off.
3.) after ignition switch is turned OFF, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4.) repeat steps 1 to 3 twice. (perform 3 times total.)
5.) turn ignition switch ON. (self-diagnostic mode turns to Diagnosis mode.)
Follow the push button instructions instead of the key I gave you in the previous response.
