Intelligent Key Question
How does the car know that the intelligent key is in the trunk to prevent lockout? I find it interesting that it can tell if the key is inside or outside the car at such a short distance.

The car has multiple proximity sensors built around the vehicle. I'm sure there is one located in the trunk. The key itself emits a pulse generated signal that lets the sensors know that it is within the set distance or range. It's a very accurate system that they did a good job with at Infiniti/Nissan engineering
