cd changer question

i just did a search n found nothing, also read through the manaul n came up with nothing. hoping someone here can help me out.
is the 07 sedan 6 cd changer also mp3 compatible?
when i pick up my car the dealer told me its 6 cd/mp3 disc and 1 cd/mp3 up in the dash, that makes it 7 cd/mp3.
right now i have a few regular cd and mp3s in the changer, but for some reason only the regular cd plays n not the mp3 in the changer. is my cd changer broken? or does it jus not play mp3s.
the mp3 does play but i cant hear nothing. at first i thought it was the cd probaly mess up but when i take it out from the cd changer and put it on the dash holding 1 cd it works perfect. whats the deal here? thx any help is appreciated

yup. what calibur said. if you have the non-nav car then your in-dash CDC will play MP3s.

i also think this kind of sucks but i avoid the issue entirely by using the musicbox instead

I'm sort of confused about this as well, I have the 6-disk in-dash changer on my 04 coupe with premium sound, and I heard somewhere that it was mp3 compatible, but it never makes any sound on mp3 disks (just runs the track time counter with no output)...
Are there certain units that are mp3 compatible and certain ones that aren't?

I can't play mp3 disks in my trunk changer either. I've actually thought that I'd like to just remove it and gain that amount of trunk space. Anyone have any tips on this? I'd need to get a different liner for the trunk I guess.

prelude555, did you happen to have a Honda Prelude before your G35? I still have my '89 Prelude SI...best car ever. We'll see if the G can live up to the standard set by the Prelude over time
