DDIN headunit FACE w/ ac controls HELP

hi everyone,

i've been trying for the last couple of weeks to figure out a way to add a DDIN headunit into my 07'.. i noticed there is only ONE good way to do it.. remove clock and audio controls in center console and keep AC controls.. PROBLEM IS the back is ONE PC board.. they are not separate..

i know for the previous models.. they sold the face and ac controls so you can do the DDIN install..

can someone find out in Japan, do they have this separate AC control n' or FACE.. thanks!!

i already got components and sub.. so yea.. last i wanna add headunit to finish the sound..

humm, It's kinda tough to change all that out, maybe you can get a JL cleansweep or the alpine F1 setup where basically takes whatever signal you're feeding and you can boost the power of the signal, tune it, and adjust just bout everything....

Here is what it looks like without the factory screen in.

you might be able to relocate the factory screen else where and fit a double din in there..

I really dont like the factory stereo, and would much rather prefer the option of aftermarket.

I was thinking maybe moving the unit out of that location and having a custom panel redesigned where the cup holders are.

I have try to look around for a shop to install a DD in my 08,but seem like no one one to touch it..so what I did is use the RF(just like the JL clean sweep) and it make my radio sound just as good as any after market high-end unit..you can add a dvd player to your glove compartment and use the original screen on your g35...

Yeah moving the screen and extending the wire harness is probably a much easier task than moving the head unit... there are about 12-13 plugs back there from what I can remember between the nav unit and the unified meter, so moving 1 is much easier.

But still, that would leave both the stock setup and the aftermarket. I guess if you REALLY wanted to, you could do something, but it would require a lot of custom work.
