2100 miles-list of minor problems 07 sedas s

1 brakes squeal when braking under 5 mph

2 sunroof seal or gasket fell off twice
first time 6 days after I bought the car

3 cruise control stopped working for a couple days
then it worked again

4 the distance sensor on the cruise control also stopped working
separate from the cruise control, then it worked again

5 wind noise drivers window

6 rattling in the rear seats

I know they may seem minor problems, by themselves, but together
they are very irritaning, and if this is happening at 2100 miles
what can I expect at 10k, 20k, etc

or is this normal? I dont think so!
this my first infinty so this is new to me
but considering that my previous car was a galant
and in five years had only 3 minor problems.
I expected more from a luxury brand , even if its
an entry model.
whats the experience other 07 sedan owners have had?
and earlier models years,(03-06)
what has your experience being,
at 10k , 20k ?
or am I being to picky? your opinions will be appreciated

Thanks

I had the first two problems myself. Just remember a warranty is your friend if its bothering you that much take it back to the dealer and see if they can resolve the issue

I continue to have the brake noise issue. My dealer could not find anything wrong.

What did your dealer do to make the brake noise go away?

TIA

The only problems I've had was the sunroof flaps and nothing else. No rattles either.

I'm at 14050 miles.

takes time for the breaks to wear in I guess, mine do it too, hopefully the dust will stop accumilating after a while...maybe I should just stop speeding and breaking so rapidly.......

Wow...that freakin' sucks. I have an '04 and have had windshield rattles (cowl), rear window creaking (the window seal was messed up), rear seat metal creaking (3 or 4 cross member bracing bolts behind the seats were loose), squeaky brakes, rear axle clicking, front compression rod rattles, etc...and most of these Infiniti had TSB's for. You'd think they'd address frequent problems like this on the new design!?!?! WTF!!?? Sorry to hear about this guys. I guess there is hope though. I have 68K miles on my G and it's now running w/ no real rattles, as I've been to the dealer many-a-times & think I have everything taken care of.......for now at least.

Only problem I've had is the sunroof flap and I just put it back on. Next time I'll give it the superglue fix specified in the TSB. Have got 3,300miles so far. Taking it into the dealer for the first oil change next week. I think my build date was April so maybe they ironed out some of these problems by then or I'm just lucky so far.

I have the above four problems with mine as well.

I took in my car for #1 & #5, but the dealer didn't find anything.
(Actually, I took in twice for #5, but both times I wasted my time)

For #2, I just put the thingy back on and it's fine so far.
For #6, mine comes from (I'm guessing) the passenger side seat belt adjuster.

I've had 1 Toyota and 2 Hondas. They did have some minor issues,
so I really don't expect a PERFECT vehicle with my Infiniti.

I just don't understand why Infiniti can't see the problems that a lot of us can see.
Toyota & Honda corrected the problems, at least the ones that I had.
But Infiniti..... I don't know... seems like they are just trying to make excuses all the time...

With all that said.... I still love my G.......

At 12K, no problems other than the sunroof trim and the CC surge. Got the TSB fix for the sunroof, taking it in next month for the CC TSB. No rattles or brake noise, and love most everything about this car

My understanding is that brake squeal is usually caused by the pad vibrating against the piston and/or shoe (not the rotor), and can often be fixed by putting a little bit of special squeal lube on the back of the pads. It's cheap, quick and easy. Haven't done it on the G myself, but I have done it on other cars and it worked well. The dealer can definitely do it.

Warning: If you do it yourself, DO NOT get the lube on the front of the pad or the rotor. Very, very bad to have lubed rotors.

I had a weird warranty claim. Going 150 down the highway with the sunroof tilted open and the passenger rear window opened 3 inches, the DRIVER rear window chrome BLEW OUT!

At first the dealer did not believe me but then seeing that it was bent out and not broken, they had to replace it.
