Question LSD worth it?

I had a question regarding Limited Slip Differentials (LSD). Coming from the domestic car world I had added an auburn differential on my previous car and thought that it was worth doing. I know that the journey model is a one legger and that the sport models come with infinitis VLSD. (I have a journey sedan) I guess the question I am posing is "would it be a good idea / beneficial to install a LSD whether it be from infiniti or another company on my car?" I am interested to hear what both sport and non-sport owners think about this. Thanks in advance guys for your help.

I did a KAAZ LSd in my 04 sedan. Hated it. It was loud and poppy and made the car no fun to drive in anything but a straight line. If I could do it again I would do a Carbon ATS LSD or a Quaife for smoothness and quietness. In snow they are a blast, for FI cars they would be a necessity. I still overpower my stock viscous LSD on hard corner turn ins with full power.

I'd say yes, the G has a lot of HP going to one wheel in a corner without it. My experience with my Sport has been that it hooks up well in corners (within reason... ), and launches great with VDC off.

If you do a lot of "spirited driving" through corners, then absolutely. No LSD was a big reason for not getting a 335i...that and the high price difference.

The G deserves recognition for being the only sports sedan in its class (entry level RWD) with LSD. You can add aftermarket LSD to the 335, but that's at least another $2000 on top of the already significant price premium.

Does that include installation? Installing an LSD is far from fun and enjoyable.

Edit: Maybe since its RWD it wouldn't be so bad...FWD is a bit of a pain.

The LSD itself is US$1700. Installation is another $600 (5~6 hours). I didn't have the exact figure for labor so I wrote "at least" $2000.
