Nissan/Infiniti Nav Update v7.3
#17
I'm not positive on the G, but I have upgraded our Nissan Quest DVD based system. You shouldn't need any code to unlock the software as it will only work on the Infiniti/Nissan vehicle. If you want to know what the latest version is, go to www.zenrin.com. 7.3 should be replaced within the next month or two.

Like i said you go to zernin's website buy a Code and then take it to your dealer to install where they charge you a fee as well.

I've never updated the nav in any of the 3 cars I've had equipped with nav systems. This dates back to a 2003 Honda Pilot. In all 3 cars, I have never had a situation where the nav was not useable due to lack of info on new roads.
If I ever came across that situation, I guess I'd look into updating the nav. Otherwise, it seems pointless.

Just took a trip to Kansas, through Memphis there was some recent construction where they changed the exit to stay on 40 from the right side of the road to the left. The navi didn't know about it so if we had to follow the street signs like it was 1998 or something.
This is the only incident I have had with the navi not being correct.
