Nissan/Infiniti Nav Update v7.3

Has anyone purchased/installed the new 7.3 update? I am debating weather the updates are worth $190.

If you get it let me know if it's worth it, maybe I'll help you recoup some costs back

how does it work with the harddrive based unit? The zenrin site lists it as a DVD based system. I assumed they were referring to the nav system in the '07 coupe.

From what I understand, updates to our HD based Navigation will be done via the CF slot.

right, and the zenrin site only allows you to order the DVD. So unless you can load a CF card with the DVD data via software, I'm not sure how this upgrade applies to the '07 sedan.

how could it? 07+ is hard drive-based, and prior years are dvd-based.

I read on the site that 03-05 can only upgrade to version 6.6 currently. My 03has v 6.2 and i dont feel like spending $190 for v 6.6 I was hoping someone knew a cheaper source.

I don't know how it works with the Infiniti, but my Garmin has a code with it's update that locks it to the unit. Once one unit is updated the code goes with it and you can't update any more units without an additional purchase. I'd be really surprised if Infiniti left it unlocked.
