So what you and Infiniti are saying is that if I carry anyone in my car that weighs under 120lbs they should sit in the rear.

Now go try sitting in the seat yourself, I guarantee the airbag will re-arm itself and you will see it is working correctly.

Good luck.

Here is what I came up with after 30 seconds of searching... no where did anyone say have them sit in the rear.

Thats all fine and good, but my point is that some front seat passenger will not benefit from the added protection of an airbag due to their weight and their build.

my gf is ~90 lbs, and it'll only turn off if she sits leaning towards the door. But the same thing happens in my 01 TL when anyone kinda leans against the bolsters..

PS air bag malfunction light on Update

My 07 G35S still continues to have the PS air bag malfunction light come on. I have been resetting it using manual procedure, but this weekend it has come on and I have not been able to reset (clear). It shows code for 1 long 5 short blinks, so hopefully dealer this time will have enough info to replace seat sensor or something to get this problem fixed. Seems to be a common problem with early 07's from past posts.

Just back from dealer; seat sensor on order. Code B1018 OCCUPANT SENS
Dealer called today, part is in. Will see what happens on Monday with repair.
