Passenger air bag light comes on

Likely i notice that when ever i have a passenger in the passenger seat, the passenger air bag light comes on and stays on for a long time. It happens 5 out of 10 times. So i called oakland of infiniti, they said i have to bring it in and have them check it out and they said i will be getting a loaner. Has any 07 g35S sedan run into this kinda problem?

I think you mean <110, or I'd really like to see that 200lb petite chick

My wife is 105-110 and the light fluctuates dependong on how she sits. Took in dealer said everything checked out find and she's right around the weight of the sensor so it's normal.

It's just the sensor picking up that someone close to or under the safe size for the airbag is there. If you want to check it, then turn the car on and go sit in that seat yourself and see if the light comes on.

Oh and on the "petite" comment - petite (with regard to buying clothing) means anyone under 5'3" tall so yeah there are 200lbs petite chicks. lol

I have the same problem when my wife sits in the seat (she weighs around 110lbs). I had a 5 series BMW with the same problem It seems 110lbs is the magic number.

i was going to get my seat bottom replaced, but honestly i wouldnt waste your time... I talked to the service manager at my dealership and he said that it's not an issue Infiniti has addressed, so it cant be fixed...

surprised that infinity wouldn't address something dealing with safety of passengers.

I requested for my dealer to check mine out during my 3750 mile service yesterday. I picked up the car and my service manager gave me some BS that it was normal. Anyone below 120lbs would cause the airbag light to turn on. That can't be right. I will call Infiniti Monday morning.

Actually it ABSOLUTELY would have something to do with it, do some reading of weight transfer and effectiveness (and dangers) of airbags according to various people of different weights.

Now go try sitting in the seat yourself, I guarantee the airbag will re-arm itself and you will see it is working correctly.

Good luck.
