Typical Mods?
Typical Mods?
So I've had the car for 48 hours and I'm already thinking of what I can do to make it my own. After searching and reading the sticky threads, I found some manufacturers that offer mods for the car. The list so far of what I would like to do:
Tint
I think I'll end up somewhere between 20% and 30%. I had 35% on my BMW and I never thought it was dark enough.
Fog Lights
I replaced the fog lights in my last car to a closer match in brightness to my xenon's. Does anyone have a recommendation on a brand/part number?
Turn Signals
I replaced the turn signals in my last car with Silvervisions. I think I will do the same with the turn signals on the G35. It is difficult to get in there to replace them? From what I read, I believe it requires the removal of the airboxes?
Springs
I used the Eibach Pro-Kit on the BMW, and was really impressed with the result. I believe that I will use the same kit for the G35 with hopefully the same results. For those of you that have used the Eibach springs, did you find that you also had to add the camber adjustment kit? I didn't need to do this in the last car, so I'm not sure about it.
I don't really want to mess with the exhaust. I've always been weary of exhausts, because most of them are too loud for me. I had an intake system in my BMW, but I can't say that it really increased performance at all. It did make the car sound a little more aggressive, which is what I'm reading about the Stillen and Fujita intakes.
Man, it's a lot of work learning about a new car.

i think a tint is a must, not just for looks, it protects the interior too
if you really want to personalize it and make it faster, there are companies starting to make twin turbo kits for the HR engine, namely Greddy and GTM, it should be out within a year or so... GTM also makes a 4.6L stroker kit to boot

Haha... I don't think i'd say a TT kit or stroker kit are 'typical mods'
I'd say most people are intake, exhaust, suspension with high flow cats becoming popular.
There was a thread stickied somewhere about mods, but I doubt it's been kept up to date.

Tint is a necessity for me since I live in Florida. I went out at lunch today and priced the spring install. I was quoted $497 installed (not including alignment).
