Anyone use Nissan for service?

I bought an 07 G35x from a non-infiniti dealer as the closest is about 1.5 hours. I called all three Nissan dealers in my area. All said they will do the maintanence but no warranty work. So the questions, has and does anyone take their car to the Nissan dealer for non warranty work?

My Infiniti dealer is a 4 hour drive each way, so needless to say I get my regular service done elsewhere. My local Nissan dealership has been doing regular maintanence on my Infinitis for 4 years now.

Your local Nissan dealership will service it, no problems. I've been doing that for my G since they are only 5 minutes away from my place, they use the same type of oil and filter plus it's cheaper too.

I do regular maintanence with my local Nissan dealer which is like 10 mins WALKING distance. Needless to say, it's 1~2mins driving. LOL

I've only been to Infiniti dealer twice. First one was for the free oil change LOL, and second was for a warrenty work (wiggle thigh extender).

BTW, my local Nissan's services have been great.

I'm gonna goto the local Nissan dealership since it's pretty much the same while being easy on the wallet.

The disadvantages of NOT taking your car to an INFINITI dealer for the schedualed maintenance is:

1. NISSAN Dealers will not be able to pull up safety / voluntary recall information (key fobs / sun roof shade etc)

2. NISSAN dealers service records are not accessable by ALL NISSAN or INFINITI Dealers... If you bring your car to an INFINITI dealer, EVERY INFINITI Dealer can pull that record by your VIN.

My advise: If you live far from an INFINITI Dealer, bring it there for the intermediate / major services...

15K / 30K / 45K / 60K etc...

Or for any warranty repair...

I've had good experiences at Nissan so I've gone there for some stuff. I usually DIY what I can and then go to Nissan.

Good advice Jason.
My Nissan Dealer is 1 hour away and my Infiniti Dealer is 1 3/4 hours away. So I always go to te Infiniti Dealers, it seems I always get some little recall or Infiniti fix done. So far the chipped grill replaced, sunroof finisher fixed twice, I-Keys replaced, next visit they are doing the Cruise Control Surge re-flash.

What if we take our cars to the inifiniti dealer for the oil change after the 15K maintenance? We save 200 bucks on the 15K by going to the Nissan dealer, pay an extra 5 to 10 bucks for the oil change by going to the Infiniti dealer and still get the benefit of the recalls. 15,000 is a gloriified oil change anywa.
