Tuning options for G35s sedan

So I'm faced with an issue. I want to trade in my 04' 6MT Brembo coupe. I can't decide on what car to get. I realistically want 300whp in my next car. That's pretty much my benchmark for LA street power. I'm leaning towards the Evo IX, used M3 or a G35s sedan 6MT. My question... How tunable are the new G35 sedans? Is 300whp or close to 300 a realistic number in that car? I know with the hand full of bolt-ons 300whp was close to achieving in the 350Z and G35 coupes. Are Cams, and the other bolt-ons available for the G35 sedans? Would ir be wiser to get a 06' Sedan? I hate car shopping.

I don't see you hitting that goal w/o nitrous.

Maybe if you bought a G37 coupe and modded/tuned it... but then it would just accomplish the 300whp goal, not necessarily be faster than a modded sedan.

What all is done to your Sedan to achieve you HP numbers? My neighbor just built a Evo IX and it's insane the power that car puts out with only 2500 bucks dumped into it. I mean Fuel, Piping, Coilovers and Cams.

the evo will always be faster hands down... you just have to ask yourself if that's what you want out of a car. (A soon to be old economy lancer body w/ cheap interior, but blazing performance)

My car put down those dyno numbers 100% stock w/ 430 miles.

300 hp at the wheels will not be easy in an 07+ G35. You will need to add about 40 wheel hp. The VQ35HR motor is already tuned more than the VQ35DE motor so hp increases will not come as readily with aftermkt parts.

If you really want 300 wheel hp, just get a BMW 335i. It has about 285 wheel hp stock and a simple chip away from 330+ wheel hp. Chip w/ exhaust and intake will get you over 400 lb/ft of torque - at the wheels!

300whp has been obtained in the DE so i see it as being not easy, but easier in the HR. and with the high revving alot more potential. i think a fully built head, cams, full bolt ons and a tune should do the trick. only problem is, 80% of the parts i just mentioned dont exist yet.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'll go test drive a G35s sedan, and see what kind of feel I get from the test drive. My G35 coupe 6MT has been wonderful, and I feel like it's just missing another 30hp to be a true warrior of a car. I can only imagine a VQ w/ 300whp. It's going to be hard to give up the short stroke note of the motor.

the cars you listed have their pros and cons, best bet is to test drive all of them...

evos may be cheap looking (lancer + doo dads) or ricer (flying wings) for some, but aftermarket tuning is huge, making power is easiest of the 3, and the cheapest

m3, is the new one out on the dealerships yet? if not, like alterzgo said, getting the 335 + vishnu chip or other chip can bump up power easy, but bimmers are inherently more expensive

g sedan, well, umm... parts to make it go 300 whp needs to be made first, haha, hopefully soon though..
