First Oil Change!
First Oil Change!
Hello. Just changed my oil and filter today for the first time at 4000k miles. It was much more easier than I thought. I brought my own oil and filter to a local auto shop and they charge me $10 labor. Basically $10 to use their car lift. I wish I had a car lift at home!! LOL. Originally I planned to do it myself but using driving ramps was scary and I don't really know where the center jack point is(so I can jack the front of the car up with a floor jack).
Ok. You simply remove 4 bolts and the small plastic cover folds down to reveal the drain plug and filter. The oem oil filter looks tiny.
I plan to use syntec blend(Either castrol, valvoline or 76unocal) with Purlator one at every 4000 to 5000k miles. Purlator one seems good because it says 98% clean efficient, Fram tough guard is 99% but the filter looks half the size of Purlator, Mobil 1 says 99% but the price too way to high, Bosch prem. is 98% too.
08' Ivory pearl/stone journey with prem and sport pkg.
