HI Guys,

Let me chime in:
nguy0750 - you still need to carry your factory fob, but you will never pull it out nor use it again for any purpose. You can still use the door handles, as it still functions but this will not disarm the Compustar or any alarm for that matter. Now i know of a way that you can get the factory door handle to disarm any factory alarm, but its not worth the extra wiring and extra effort.

Phalanx - See above

PeterUbers - I understand the complexities of the BCM, and i had to replace the BCM last month because of TPMS and gear shifting issues. For the DEI, I used to own many viper products, but the 5900 had less functions than the compustar, and also for it being a spread spectrum versus my FM remote on my compustar, the range is pathetic.

But to PeterUbers point, excellent suggestion to get a reputable shop. With any push start vehicle, it is a MUCH MORE COMPLEX install (and i used to be an installer before as a hobby). Pelase do not cheap out. You are saving a maybe 100-200 if you go with a cheaper place, and its not worth on your expensive car trust me!!!

G35Robby - not really much to video tape LOL!!!

Just an FYI. My installer installed the Viper 5900 with remote start and used the bbk module (not the 1101) so I didnt lose a key fob. Its works great so far and Im happy to have it in the winter.

I have a 2008 G35xS.

Wow 100% true

Got it installed
Compustar 5200 TW FM with crazy range
idatalink BLADE (installer said it's the AL CA in a smaller size) small unit which does the Oly difference

It works beyond my expectations, it's insane to see how the two units are real piece of art.

I watched the installer while doing it and WOW! Nice job!

Already two weeks using and I love it. I'm lazy to walk far enough to exceed the Compustar range

HOw do these systems work with the nav system. Wondering if there is a way to disable the nav "OK" button on start. Also looking to disable the no use of video, or nav while driving thing. Can't find the old thread on that.

I know im bumping this thread from the dead, but has anyone experienced their vehicle going to ACC mode when just unlocking it with the compustar remote? is this normal? what if all you have to do is grab something from the car and you need to unlock it and it goes to acc mode. any advice would be greatly appreciated...
