How to jack up G35?

Hello. Where is the jack point on G35 sedan? I'm not talking about the side ones for spare tire change.

I would like to raise the front of the car up with hydraulic floor jack for oil change. Is there a central jack point somewhere? BTW driving ramps are too scary.

Thanks.

Too scary?? I would think supporting nearly 2 tons on a moveable hydraulic cylinder that you bought for the lowest cost would be much scarier. Put that puppy on ramps and feel secure that you aren't going to crush that gargantuan cranium of yours.

Nope. You have to jack up 1 side, place a stand, lower it onto the stand, and then do the other side. You can't jack on the motor because it is aluminum.

If you are doing the rear you can jack on the rear differential.

There is a bar behind the oil pan that is also a jack point. I drive my G up on low profile ramps, so I can get a good jack underneath it, jack it up, and then support it on the sides with 2 3.5 ton jack stands.

Thanks all!

I tried using ramps by MYSELF and when i drove the car up it keeps slipping, after 5 tries I gave up. I like to do oil changes myself but this car is too low and toublesome.

A shop in my town charges $16 for oil change, I guess I will just go there.

Well, the good thing about Baton Rouge is that there are no bad places to eat. Food is a way of life here, and everyone takes it seriously!
Fun things to do...not a whole lot. Sorry.
