Auto seat and steering column backup?

I just got in a loaner journey with memory seating the other day and when you turn on the ignition it pulls the seat and steering column to the set number automatically and when the ignition is turned off its pulls the seat and steering column backso you have more space to get out. My 07 g35s manual with all the packages on it doesn't seem to do that. The service rep stated that not all 07 08 g35 models have it. Is this true? If not how do I set it on my car.

It might be disabled. I believe it's part of the premium package. Look through your settings configuration on your lcd screen. There's an option for enabling the steering wheel and seat "release" feature.

I was told by the service department that the cars with manual trans. don't do it. I have the works as well, and mine doesn't do it either.

doh, thanks for the reply guys. I checked and that feature isn't available in the comfort settings. Oh well not that big of a deal, just thought it was a cool feature.

yeah i miss that, my I30 had it and it was amazing, but ill live. it would save the bolsters on the coupes... guess infiniti would rather spend the money to fix it then not have it happen at all

I'm pretty sure that it works with the manual when you push the button, just not the ignition. Either the parking brake has to be on (and car on) or the clutch in (and car on) I forget which. I'll check when I leave work today.

Clarification... It *never* moves them out of the way, but if someone else adjusts them, the button will move it back to your position.

that feature is called "easy exit" and is only available on g's with auto tranys.
if ur lucky enough to have a 6mt, ur sol.

BUT u have 2 memory positions. set one as all the way back and wheel up and in. and set the other for ur self

auto exit sucks any way. if u have a friend in the back seat and u shut the car off, you crush him...
friends don't like this
