Rewiring My Tail Lights

I've decided that I want to rewire my tail lights so that when I signal, insteal of that little bulb flashing, I want me brake light to flash, just like the FX. Anyone know if this is possible? I took it to a aftermarket shop whre they do a lot of electronics installations and they were not sure how to do it. I thought it was a fairly easy thing to do. Any ideas?

If I get it to work, I'll let you know but I don't think it will be a DIY because I won't be attempting the work. I definitely want to pay someone to do it - don't want to mess around with it myself and screw something up.

Not sure how to wire it, but you will need a relay or something to that effect, your issue is when your headlights are on you'll need a relay to turn off the right or left brake light and switch into a signaling mode. Sorry i can't be of more help, but start thinking resistors, and relays.

Do you mean the tail lights? They are dual - low when the head lights are on and high when the brake pedal is pressed.
I don't know about you guys, but I was never a big fan of how they did the turn signals on our car.

Wrong. LED's do not have filaments. So no, they are not dual filaments. They consume a certain amount of power while the lowbeams are on, and when the brakes are pressed, they require more power, and thus emit a brighter light. Our signaling bulbs are single filament. They can only flash, and not steadily stay ignited.

On another note, good luck with this project, I dont think its going to be easy at all.
