Looking for a Y pipe for '08 g35 sedan

I just bought an '08 G35 sedan from a guy who hit something hard and dented the factory Y pipe. One side has a spot about 40% collapsed, the other side has a spot about 25% collapsed. Everything else checked out okay.

My questions are: Does anyone know if the '07 and '08 Y pipes are interchangeable? Does anyone have a stock Y pipe they would like to sell? What is the best after market pipe that would fit my '08? Will I cause any engine damage driving this car while I'm waiting for parts?

Thanks, G-wiz

The Y-pipe should be the same between 07 and 08 and as a matter of fact may even be the same for the 08 coupe.

In any case, I recently saw a wrecked 08 sedan at a local wrecking yard and saw the Y-pipe just sitting on the ground. You can call the wrecking yard at 562.692.0559

That's what I keep telling my wife. Since this car was a 50th birthday present to myself she thinks I'm going thru my mid-life crisis. I told her if that was the case, I would've bought a Corvette.

What's the difference between a Corvette and a porcupine?
Answer: With the Corvette, the ****** are on the inside.

Cool! Finally someone older than I am in here!

BTW ... anyone can make a vette fast. It's more of a challenge to do it with a 6cyl sedan!

Thanks for all the help.

After talking to several G35 drivers and reading these posts, I decided to do the right thing and upgrade to an after market exhaust. My car wants it, I want it, I just won't tell my wife. ha. Anyway, I decided on a Stillen. It should arrive on Tues. and I can hardly wait. Since I'm an old dude I didn't want it too loud. Anyone have any experiance with Stillen exhaust?
