Knocking When Shifting Into Drive
Have you let the RPMs kick down?
When the car first starts, it's running around 1900 RPMs.
You should let it run for 60-90 seconds and wait for it to drop to 1000-1100 before shifting into gear.
Are you doing this, or taking off right away?

Yea I do, I actually wait until the temperature gauge increase a little, and it still has this "kick" when I shift into "D". The car only has 6700K miles and I always make a full stop before shifting. Should I be concerned, do you guys have the same problem?
Sounds like it's just at start up which is normal. I'm at 1100 Rpm at start up and 650 adjusted idle afterwards. Sounds like your engaging drive while the RPM's are still above 1000.

Yeah, my friend at work also has a G35xS.
We went out today for lunch and took my car. He said that his does not idle as high as mine on a cold start up.
I guess my 1900 is high... maybe something to mention to the dealer on my next visit.
