just google tint, there is all kinds of info out there on the different kinds of tint. most good tint MFG and installers will give you a life time warranty on the product and installation, and with good tint u can get a G sedan done for about 180-220.

i have 35% all the way around

LAST QUESTION i swear... do we need a ceramic tint vs. metallic dude just told me that he would recommend it because of the interference that may happen with GPS Bluetooth etc...

15% standard was $240 with windshield and 15% ceramic was like $350...

Both formula one.

I can't give you an accurate number, I forgot how much I actually paid, but I'm sure I paid over $200, but less than $400

All the shops state this and it is my belief that it is just an attempt to gain higher profits. I have never had a problem with GPS interference or a noticeable decrease in radar sensitivity caused by metallic tint. Metallic tint generally looks better, but ceramic tint provides better thermal protection for the interior. Basically, the ceramic keeps the inside cooler.

I wish that I had gotten the Huber Optik all the way around on my G. I just got back from the shop and had them put Huber Optik 40% on the front windows of our Nissan Quest and noticed an immediate drop in temperature inside the cabin. The shop had an awesome display (simplistic). In the middle was a stationary heat lamp. On the sides on a spindel they had several different 35% tints from different manufacturers including another line they sell. The Huber Optik let very little heat through while the others, including the shops premium metallic tint let quite a bit of heat through. The Huber Optik is also clearer allowing better vision through the tint.

Yes Virus is right,
Ceramic tint rejects heat a lot better than any other metallic or regular tint. I didn't have money at the time I did my tint so I took the cheaper route which was getting the solarguard True Gray tint. I would say the True Gray rejected about 50% of the heat while the huber optik rejected 90%. The 3M clear tint that was on the last window of the display (similar one that Virus mentioned) rejected 100% which was amazing. The True Gray tint is a little greenish but it looks good on my IP. The cost was around 200 and the installation was flawless, they even grinded the edges of the window to make it look factory. I got this done at Campbell Window tinting (Huntington Beach, CA) who does commercial and automotive work. Huber optik for the G was quoted around $330. They have a lifetime guarantee. Hope this helps

I had both formula1 and 3m ceramic tint on my G. Formula1 calls their ceramic tint pinnacle series and 3m calls their ceramic tint color stable (CS). I had 15% all around except the front windshield with the formula1. But more recently went with the 3m CS and put 35% on the windshield and sides, and 20% on the rear window. They are both awesome tint but I would go with the 3m ceramic because its cheaper.
