overlay fitment???

I just received my full smoke overlays today, and upon test fitment, they just dont look like they will fit. I emailed Bat about them, and i am not bashing or saying anything negative. I just have never installed a tail overlay so im not sure if once the backing is off it stretchs or what? But placing the overlay over the tail alone, it just doesnt seem like its going to. Its short left to right about 1" and doesnt seem to fit top to bottom. Anybody have any input on this? Could i have just received a wrong overlay?

I've got the same deal. He sent me the first gen overlay. He coorrected it and sent me the right one. Not sure if that's the case.

Honestly, i think that may be the case. The way the overlay is cut, it appears to be more "sqaure-ish", which to me look like the 1st Gen taillights. Like when i line the bottom of the overlay with the bottom of my taillight, the part that curves along the trunk lid above the reverse lights goes almost straight into the trunk lid rather tha follow the line of the taillight. Anyway, im waiting on a response from Bat.

Actually now that i look at it. I think i was accidentely sent an overlay for a coupe. The one i got reallllyy looks like it fits better on a coupe than it does my sedan. Im sure Bat will handle the mistake.

Yeah, it's possible that the wrong overlay might have been sent, which sounds like the case. I have no doubt that Andy will email you back and take care of things, he's a top notch guy to deal with.
