Also mike does have a patent on the arrows, thats why no other company is that helpful lol, plus in general the interference from 2 radar detectors does cause problems. Also if your going all out I just purchased 2 laser shields for my license plate off amazon, it defuses laser and keeps your license plate non reflective. I put it behind my cover but the southwest enclosure is still shiny so im gonna replace that as well.

I am definitely not a V1 fanboy, but I don't think the arrows are a gimmick. It is really helpful in identifying the direction of the radar source, and you can figure out very easily whether you've already passed the source. One of the primary reasons why I got the V1 (after having already gotten the 9500i) is that my local LEO's are now using a variety of undercover vehicles to clock people. These spotters aren't just using the run of the mill unmarked police cars. They are using totally civilian looking cars as spotters, and then they radio ahead to marked cars after clocking a speeder. The arrows in the V1 are helpful in identifying these undercover spotter LEO cars.
One thing that ALL radar detectors (as well as jammers/shifters) could improve on is the display. Why in the world are they still using LED displays when everything else in the world is using LCD's. It would be great to have a display that is more user friendly.

Just imagine a LCD screen with an arrow pointing exactly at the source... (no the technology doesn't exist yet... but I can dream can't I?)...
Tell you exactly how far the source is, etc....

An LCD does NOT do that.

The ZR4 isn't the best, but the initial tests show it's very good and it'll hook right up to the STi and 9500i. I'm wondering if it will work with some of the other Escort and Bel detectors as well.
It's selling price is just too high. They need to have an a la carte offering without the ZR4's. The STi-R should be around $900, $1100 for the 9500ci without the ZR4's.
