People should be banned from this forum if they buy Ebay aftermarket parts (with the exception of buying an established brand that just happens to be sold on Ebay).

Seriously, this stuff is junk and I'm sure results in a loss of performance of some sort. Stick with the reputable companies, preferably the ones that specialize in VQ engines.

If you haven't purchase that headers from Ebay, I recommend you NOT to buy it. The purpose of having those headers is that they have equal length on the runners and the result of that is to decrease the back pressure. In 07+ G35, we already have equal length headers which reduce back pressure by 25%.

Man, that is my first question in my very first post when I joined this forum. I want to learn about Nissan engines and the potential of our G35 but haven't got any decent response yet.
Basic mods that work on most cars are cold air intake and less restrictive exhaust system. Can some Nissan/Nismo expert tell me what else we can do on VQ engines to get more power ?

Intake, exhaust, header... etc. You can mostly do some breathing mods + a tune.

If you have money, you can just go TT from the get go. hahahah

Since this car is new and under 4 year warranty, I will not consider any engine mods.
I have turboed my non-turbo 2.4L Eclipse Spyder by myself and through all the headache and sweats, I know that upgrading to turboed/supercharged is not as easy as it looks like. Because our engines have high compression 10.4:1, we can't just add a turbo or supercharger to it. It will need to be fully rebuilt the bottom end and a dyno tune. If you have 10 grands to dump into it then you can start the single turbo G35 project now. Otherwise, just do basic mods to pick up some loss power.
