I agree..

I agree that the OP's pictures don't look great - but my experience with Tanabe ( 2 cars with cat-backs here in Japan ) is that their fit, finish and quality is very good for the price-- taking into account that the Impul system is 3x the price of the Tanabe -you DO get what you pay for - But you still PAY...

Here in Japan there are 2 quality levels ( kinda ) lower priced level is "CAN" type like the Tanabe RSR Trust etc., with folded and welded seams and the "BOTTLE" type like Impul which are a smooth one piece welded, ground smooth and polished type ( $$$ )...

I think that there is something wonky with this install / kit - - the pictures don't look realistic for fit - ????

Cheers,

you're right, it looks like they put the wrong kit on that car, or just didn't weld the hangers on in the right places.

then again, tanabe doesn't exactly seem to care much about fitment. I wasn't the only one with a medalion touring on a wrx or sti that needed extended hangers to keep it from rubbing--both with the stock downpipe and aftermarket

the oval cannister setup available in japan looks pretty nice. I'm not sure what happened with the release mentioned in the original post

the tanabe tips are way too big! and the HKS is too. And both are over priced. stillen seems to be the best bang for the buck with looks too boot.
